Housing Choice Voucher Program - The Preliminary Application Process

To request rental assistance, you must first complete a Preliminary Application.

Ways to obtain a Preliminary Application:  

• By downloading a pre-application form from this web site. (See above).
  Upon completion, you may mail or drop it at our office at: 201A West High Street,
  Mount Vernon, OH 43050.  We will also accept it faxed to 740-397-8226.  

• Call (740) 397-8787 to request to have one mailed to you.  

• Visit Knox Metropolitan Housing Authority's Office located at 201A West High Street, Mount Vernon, OH.
  Our office hours are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.    

This is a preliminary application and does not take long to complete. By submitting a preliminary application your name will be placed on a waiting list according to the date and time it is received.
